Bathymetry Perspective Views |
Thursday August 06, 1998A view of the southwest part of the floor of Tahoe, just north of Emerald Bay, looking directly west. The vertical exaggeration is x2. The image shows a series of submerged headlands about 250 m high, with sediment chutes between the headlands. The sediment just beyond the chutes shows large bedforms about 5-m high. The sediment is coalesing into a fan toward the center of the lake floor. Back to Bathymetry Images Page.
