Bathymetry Perspective Views |
Monday August 10, 1998This is a view looking west toward Meeks Bay. Colored image is land, gray scale is lake floor, black is unmapped. Vertical exaggeration is x 4. The view is of the large sediment apron built up from the south end of the lake. Large bedforms in the foreground stand ~4 m above the floor. Bedforms cover almost the entire lake floor in this view. The bedforms suggest strong bottom flows of the sediment and possibly dense downwelled water. Back to Bathymetry Images Page.
