Bathymetry Perspective Views |
Saturday August 15, 1998Perspective view looking north at Stateline Pt. And into Agate Bay on left and Crystal Bay on right. Colored image is bathymetry, gray scale is land, black is unmapped. Vertical exaggeration is 4 x. Curiously, the 425-m high wall (fault scarp?) does not parallel the ridge on land represented by Stateline Pt. Notice the general lack of sediment at the base of the wall. Most of the sediment transported to the lake basin from the north shore appears to have been funnelled down the gently sloping, gullied margin on the left. The wall is marked with two relatively large failure scars. There is a small coalesed fan at the base of the two failures that has 60 m of relief, is 1400 m wide, and is 650 m long.
